Raising Our Voices Project

The Mission of Raising Our Voices (ROV) is to increase participation of groups currently underrepresented in the Austin community, specifically women, queer and minority poets.

The first ROV project is SIRENS, an open monthly reading series of women's poetry at Gaby & Mo's Coffeehouse, 1809 Manor Road, Austin (512) 457-9027. No cover charge, but donations are welcome. Bring your own poetry to read, or another woman's poetry to share. Both women and men are welcome to read women's poetry. Sign-up for seven minute slots begins at 7:15. Reading is from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.
